Day 12: “People in Pain”

Wherever you were today, if you were around people, you were around people in pain.  When you try on new clothes, stop for a burger and fries, walk down the hallway at work, run into the grocery store for a couple snacks, or flip through the carpet swatches at the local hardware store, you are passing by people in pain.

We pass them every day, everywhere we go where others are.  They might be family, they might be strangers.  They might be friends, they might be enemies.  Every day, unless we live as hermits, we pass them.  The question is, Do we see them?

Missions March is about loving Christ, then seeing the hurt, and then doing something about it.

A mission should always be something done out of that loving and seeing.  Today’s mission is no exception.

“Bombay Teen Challenge was born with a burden that God placed in the heart of a man, K.K. Devaraj, who felt God’s compassion for people in pain.” (See Bombay Teen Challenge, “Fighting Slavery and Redeeming Lives”)
