Day 13: Help, Initiative, Voice

4,000 people die every day to HIV.

5,ooo people are infected every day with HIV.

Help is needed.  Today’s mission focus is Christ’s Hope International because they have taken an initiative to help some of the world’s most vulnerable HIV victims.  They are a voice for orphans and highly vulnerable children infected with HIV.

Christ’s Hope International (CHI) helps in the global fight against HIV in 8 African countries and invites the children they help to experience everlasting salvation through Jesus Christ.

CHI works through Carepoints to meet the needs of orphaned children with HIV through physical, educational, and spiritual care:

  • Family-style living
  • Clean water
  • Nutritious meals
  • Medical help
  • Counseling
  • Opportunities to hear about Jesus and follow Him
  • Education on sexual purity (Genesis Design)
  • Schooling and vocational training

CHI works through the Genesis Design to encourage youth to wait for marriage because they are made in the image of God.

You can help CHI in their outreach to orphans and highly vulnerable children by

CHI is reaching one group that we as Christians are mandated to reach: orphans.  HIV has orphaned millions of children.  Orphans also infected with HIV need even more help.  These children need someone to take initiative to be their voice.  Are you willing to be a part of God’s plan to reach these children?

You alone have been the helper of orphans. (David speaking of God, Psalm 10:14b, GW)

Credibility of Mission: Christ’s Hope International is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA).  The ministry is endorsed by the Christian Alliance for Orphans.

To be loved

To be loved is the most spectacular thing.  Which is why I love Jesus so much.

We love because God first loved us. (1 John 4:19, ISV)
