A comforting thought

It’s noteworthy that the reason God gives us comfort is so we can comfort others.

Maybe someone is not open to His love, but would receive a kind act or word or just a listening ear from us. Or maybe a Christian who is really discouraged, or really confused, could be encouraged by our thoughtfulness.

God definitely has a purpose for the comfort He gives us:

He wants us to share.

(Isn’t God beautiful?)

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
